Fort Collins, Colorado (August 22, 2017) – Afirm, a Fort Collins-based international provider of Risk Mitigation, Loss Control, and Premium Audits within the insurance industry, presented a check in the amount of $11,743 to Realities For Children during the company’s annual Leadership Seminar.
Realities For Children provides funding and support to 31 youth agencies through its business members to support Larimer County children who have been abused, neglected or at-risk. One-hundred percent of Afirm’s donation goes directly to helping the children. Alan Jay Kaufman, Chairman, President and CEO of Afirm’s parent company H.W. Kaufman Financial Group, and Jon Kovach, President of Afirm, were on hand to present the donation to Craig Secher, President and Founder, Realities For Children.
“Community service has been a core tenet of both Afirm and the H.W. Kaufman Financial Group since the companies were founded,” said Kovach. “A key piece of supporting the community is investing in the future of our children, and we take pride in the work we do in partnership with phenomenal organizations like Realities For Children.”
Donations from Afirm were generated through a multitude of internal and community fundraising efforts, employee donations, and a matching contribution from H.W. Kaufman Financial Group.
“It would be impossible for us to attain our service goals without the incredible support of businesses like Afirm,” said Secher. “To positively impact the lives of at-risk children in a truly effective manner takes more than generosity; it takes people and organizations that make it their business to make a difference.”
